Clarke County youth will have the opportunity to win a steer, lamb or pig to be shown and sold at the
2008 Clarke County Fair. The Livestock Bowl will be divided into the following divisions: (a) Beef, (b) Sheep,
(c) Swine, goats and meat rabbits.
Each division is open to any Clarke County 4-H/FFA member who has not won an animal in that division in the past.
Each division will consist of three sections:
1. Livestock Trivia
2. Judge one class of appropriate species
3. Stockman's Quiz
Each of the three areas will be worth 50 points. The individual(s) with the highest point total in each division will
receive a steer, lamb, pig, goat or meat rabbit to raise, show and sell at the 2008 Clarke County Fair. If more than
one steer, lamb, pig, goat or meat rabbit is donated, the individual with the highest point in each division will select
their choice of steer, lamb, pig, goat or meat rabbit and the individual with the next highest point in that division
will receive the other animal. A contestant may enter all three divisions but may be a winner in only one division.
The steer will be given by October 1, 2007, and the lambs, pigs and goats will be given by the June 2008 Weigh-In.
Meat rabbits will be given by March 2008.
Parental consent and appropriate facilities required.
Applications available at the Fair Office.
