Rules:

• Open to any individual who is a Virginia resident; one entry per person.  Participant does not have to reside in county where fair is held. Participants are eligible to participate in ONE contest one time.
• The recipe must include a minimum of 6 eggs and chocolate in some form.
• Entry should be presented in a disposable container for judging.
• Recipe must list ingredients in order of use.  Preparation instructions, pan size (and type) and cooking time and temperatures, must be included.  Written recipe must be printed on one side of page and must be submitted with the baked entry.  Reverse side of page must include recipe contestant’s name, address, phone and email address.
• If toppings, frostings or fillings are used, those recipes must be included.
• Entries that need refrigeration will not be accepted.
• This is an adult competition.  Contestants under 18 will be judged as an adult.
• Recipes will become the property of the Virginia Egg Council

Judging will be based on the following criteria:

The top three winners are eligible to compete at the State Fair of Virginia. Prizes at the State Finals: 1^st-$375 plus a year’s supply of Eggland’s Best Eggs; 2^nd-$250 plus a 6 month’s supply of Eggland’s Best Eggs; 3^rd- $125 plus a 6 month’s supply of Eggland’s Best Eggs.
