Tickets will be available for purchase June 1st at Daily Grind/Berryville
Newsstand in Berryville and at the Ruritan Fair Office on weekends from
5:00-7:00 p.m.
Gate Passes
I. Exhibitors (open classes)
1. Each livestock exhibitor will receive passes according to the following
entries:
Beef or Dairy Cattle:
1-2 animals 1 free pass
3-5 animals 2 free passes
over 5 animals 3 free passes
2. In the sheep, goat and swine divisions 1 free pass per exhibitor.
3. All workers and assistants required by the livestock exhibitors will be
allowed to purchase a gate pass at $2.00 each (limit 3 passes per livestock
exhibitor).
4. Exhibitors in the Agriculture, Horticulture, Homemaking and Art, etc.,
departments with articles that do not require any service, will be entitled to
purchase a season ticket, non-transferable, at $5 per adult and $3 for
children. Entry stubs must be shown to the fair secretary to
purchase the tickets, minimum of 5 exhibits.
5. Each commercial exhibitor will receive a maximum of 2 free gate passes for
each space purchased.
6. Persons bringing exhibits to be entered in the fair will be admitted free
on Monday evening and Tuesday until noon.
7. In the poultry/rabbit department, one pass per 5 entries.
II. Junior Youth Clubs
1. All active members of 4-H, FFA and FHA who are livestock exhibitors will
be entitled to one free gate pass for the week.
III. Horse Shows (English or Western)
1. 4-H exhibitors will be given one free pass if they house their animal(s)
on the grounds for the week.
2. Driver of horse vehicle and rider will be issued one free pass for day of
horse show only. All other spectators must pay admission.
IV.Ruritan Members, Spouses and Family
1. Each member’s membership card or badge will serve as his/her free pass for
the week.
2. Each member receives a free gate pass for his/her spouse and family.
V. Carnival Workers
1. Recommend that those persons connected with the carnival be issued a free
gate pass (certified by carnival boss.)
VI. Workers and Others (not covered above)
1. Persons selected by the Committee Chairman or Fair Superintendent as
officials, judges, assistants in an department other than exhibitors or
Ruritan members, be issued a free pass through the fair office.
2. All free passes and reduced price tickets must be issued through the fair
office by the following procedure:
A. For free gate passes
1. List of workers certified by the fair superintendent or committee chairman
to be presented at the fair office
B. For reduced season passes
1. Exhibitors’ entry stubs must be presented at the fair office.
VII. Gatemen and Ticket Takers
1. Gatemen will collect the regular admission fee from everyone unless
a pass is presented. NO exceptions to this rule.
2. Any refund due an individual on admission fee will be refunded at fair
office and not by the gatemen.
